Silica Gel Orange

Silica gel, also known as silicon dioxide, is a natural compound of silicon and oxygen, most commonly found in sand.
All forms of silica are odorless solids composed of silicon and oxygen atoms.
Silica particles become suspended in the air and form non-explosive dusts.

Silica has three main crystalline forms: quartz, tridymite, and cristobalite. Fine particulate silica dust from quartz rock can cause progressive lung damage, silicosis, with prolonged exposure.
Amorphous silica, such as fumed silica, is used in various food products as an anti-caking agent in amounts up to 2% by weight. Amorphous silica is also used as an anti-caking agent and as an additive in pharmaceuticals for various drug and vitamin preparations.
